Geopolymers & volcanic ash: uses in research

Also: geopolymer concrete, alkali-activated materials, metakaolin

Geopolymers are cement-like binders made by activating ash, slag, volcanic ash or calcined clay with alkaline solutions. They can replace part of ordinary cement with a lower carbon footprint.
