Niobium carbide nanosheets heat tumours
Lin and colleagues made ultrathin two-dimensional niobium carbide (Nb2C, an MXene) nanosheets that converted near-infrared light to heat efficiently, ablated tumour xenografts in mice, and were broken down by the human enzyme myeloperoxidase.
